Sunday Phone Call

"RAWR! I love you!"

I love you, too, Jacob.

All my laundry is clean and put away right and proper. My bed is clean and made, the sheets tucked in and everything. I put signs, notes, forks, and a dream catcher on my walls. I washed my dishes.

Just about everything is due Tuesday and finals are coming up. Will I make it? I don't know. But I'll give it a shot.

My song is ready to perform.

I taped poems to two people's doors.

I don't know if I'll make it, but I feel so good.

Thank you, I love you, and Good Luck. <3

  2. You will make it!

Tracey, I am very curious as to these two poems you taped on people's doors and why you taped them there.
I am curious about your poetry in general.

I am also so happy that you feel good :-)

  3. Laura,

Isn't that a cool idea? I think I let it sound more mysterious than it actually was; they were poems for Caswell's class. We trade every couple of weeks and critique each other, and I neglected to give them back when I needed to. So I put their poems and one of mine in an envelope and taped them to their doors. It was still cool... they later returned mine, one in an envelope, and one in person.

While I was doing this, it occurred to me that I really want to write poems about/for people, especially people I don't know well, for no reason, and tape them to their doors.

My poetry in general... I don't know how interesting that would be. I'm not a very good poet (in the sense that I know next to nothing about poetry).

Laura, we should trade poems sometimes. :)

I'm happy, too. I hope you feel good as well. You are amazing. <3

  4. Tracey--I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to trade poems with you.

I think it would be really interesting to do and learn about--what if we not only traded our own poems, but other people's poems?
That way we could educate ourselves about poetry, trade, and maybe become slightly better poets?

I have felt slightly defeated today (I got ANOTHER parking ticket, meaning that so far I have paid over $300 in driving offenses this year BAH), but now I feel renewed.
